SYLVIA GRACE SHANNON

Funeral services for Ms. Sylvia Grace Shannon 70, of Collinston will be 
Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 3PM at Griffin Funeral Home Monroe with the Rev. Gary 
Brewster and Gleason Copeland officiating. A private interment at Loch Arbor 
cemetery will follow.

Ms. Shannon was born January 25, 1946 in Monroe and departed this earth on May 
11, 2016 at her home in Collinston. She was a garage sale aficionado who loved 
life and her family. But most of all she loved Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Ruby Brewster Courson, and 
son Doug Shannon

She is survived by her cousins Anita Roach Pogue and husband Jack, Mary Ann 
Copeland and husband Gleason and their children, Kristi Rice Pittard and 
husband Chris and their children, Stacie Rice and children, Rev. Gary L. 
Brewster and wife Connie and Sammy Brewster and his wife. 

Visitation will be at Griffin Funeral Home Monroe from 2PM until time of 
service.
