MRS. ETHEL HARPER SHERMAN

Kilpatrick Funeral Home

West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Harper Sherman 81, of West Monroe will be held 
at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 1, 2008 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. 
Rev. Leonard Garlington will be officiating. Interment to follow at Monroe 
Memorial Park, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-West Monroe.

Mrs. Sherman was born March 14, 1927 in Booneville, MS. and died November 29, 
2008 in West Monroe. Mrs. Sherman was retired telephone operator and a member 
of Calvary Baptist Church. She was currently a resident of Landmark Nursing 
Home, where she enjoyed sharing time in Bible study and music with the other 
residents. Mrs. Sherman was preceded in death by her parents, James and Irma 
Harper; brother, J.W. Harper; sister, Ruth Dunahoo.

Survivors include her children, JoAnn Cain, Betty K. Ballew and husband 
Lawrence, David Sherman and wife Karel, Sandra Corley and husband Bruce, Tim 
Sherman and wife Gigi, and Sherry Prestage and husband Mike; father and step-
father of her children, David A. Sherman; sisters, Shannon Garrett and Betty 
Garlington;12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Justin Sherman, Larry Ballew Jr., Barry F. Ballew, Gary 
Cain Jr., Jonathan Sherman and Tommy Trainer.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home-West Monroe.
