Funeral services for Mr. David Ardell Sherman, 83, of Allen, TX formerly of 
Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2009, in the chapel of 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Weldon Bares 
officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Sherman was born October 7, 1925 and passed away March 17, 2009. He served 
in the U. S. Navy during WWII on the island of Tarawa. Ardell retired from the 
City of Monroe as an electrical inspector. He was Everybody's Buddy.

Survivors include his sons, David and Tim; daughters, Sherry Prestedge and 
Sandy Corley; two step daughters, Jo Ann Cain and Betty Ballew; and nine 
grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe.
