Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mrs. Shields was born, July 6, 1928 in Hebert, LA and went to be with the Lord October 20, 2012 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of Claiborne United Methodist Church, an active member of the United Methodist Women, and retired Bookkeeper at Ouachita National Bank. Mrs. Shields was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lillie Bott Hebert; husband Hugh Shields; son, David Shields; daughter-in-law, Kaye Shields; son-in-law, Lamar Rogers; 4 brothers and a sister. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Senn and husband Gary and Judy Rogers Krestensen and husband Jim; five sons, Randy Shields and Roy Schaefer, Mike Shields and wife Karen, Fred Shields and wife Susan, Dale Shields and wife Angela, and Alan Shields and wife Pam; three sisters-in-law, Lou Hebert, Inez Hebert, and Kathie Hebert; 19 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Fred Shields, Jr., Michael Shields, Stephen Shields, Chad Shields, Andrew Shields, Dan Rogers, Thom Rogers and Ben Rogers. Visitation will be Monday, October 22, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Claiborne United Methodist Church, St. Jude's or an organization of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Ridgecrest Nursing Home for their love and care, and to her home caregivers Debra, Delores, and Angela.
