She was a graduate of Delhi High School, Delhi Louisiana and Northeast Louisiana University, Monroe, Louisiana. Paula was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Paula was a beautiful woman with a sweet spirit, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was a true follower of Christ which was exemplified by her servant heart. She worked tirelessly to support her children's school, her church and the Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Paula also organized a Bible study group that met at her home on Wednesday mornings called Daughters of the King whose mission was to grow closer to God through study, prayer and service to others. Paula is survived by her devoted husband of 19 years, Dr. Eddie Shields, two sons; Taylor Shields and Carter Shields, both of Little Rock, Arkansas, her parents, Jack and Loraine Taylor, of Monroe, Louisiana, two sisters, Jana Hutzler (Charles), of West Monroe, Louisiana and Andrea Telgren (James), of North Little Rock, Arkansas, grandmother, Louvertia Montgomery, of Monroe, Louisiana, uncle, Leonard Montgomery (Cindi), of Memphis, Tennessee, two nieces, Annelise Telgren, and Ashley Killingsworth, two nephews, Jacob Danklefsen and Clay Killingsworth, father and mother in law, Doyle and Mary Shields, of Glenwood, Arkansas, sister in law, Angie Killingsworth (Paul), of Cabot, Arkansas. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents and her aunt and uncle and her maternal grandfather. Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 20, 2015 at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, 10900 Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, Arkansas, with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 5:00- 7:00 P.M., Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas (501)224-8300.
