L.C. SHIERS, JR.

BROWN-HOLLEY FUNERAL HOME

Rayville, LA

Funeral services for L.C. Shiers, Jr., 77, of Archibald will be held at 2:00 
PM, Monday, November 24, 2008 at Archibald Church of Christ with Bro. Roger 
Banks, Bro. Wilfred Burgess, and Bro. Travis Arrant officiating. Interment 
will follow in Gwin Cemetery, Mangham under the direction of Brown-Holley 
Funeral Home in Rayville.

L.C. Shiers was born March 5, 1931 and passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 
after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Shiers was a member of Archibald Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Erie Bell Shiers; parents, Ollie and 
Lance Shiers; sister and brother-in-law, Lovelle and Percy Keene; brother and 
sister-in-law, J.D. Shiers and Audrey Shiers McGlothlin; great grandchild, 
Sydney Nicole Hales.

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Brenda Duchesne and husband, Sambo of 
Hebert, Theressa Hales and husband, Waymond of Archibald; 3 sons, Jesse Shiers 
and wife, Ramona of Rayville, W.O. Shiers and wife, Kay of Snake Ridge, and 
Dennis Shiers of Archibald; brother, David Shiers and wife, Gloria of 
Saulsbury, TN; 8 grandchildren, Brian and Mindi Shiers, Jay Dee and Amber 
Shiers, Kaycie and Brian Mizell, Christian and Scott Almond, Carrie Duchesne, 
Little Jesse Shiers, Laura Lacy Hales, Todd Duchesne; step-grandchildren, Tim 
and Martha Hales, Missy and Robert Emory, Tim Berry, John and Amy Berry, 
Waymond and Monica Hales, Cindy and Glen Russell, Tabbatha Hales; 8 great 
grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Louise Traxler.

Pallbearers will be Terry Gray, Jason Wright, Randy George, Brax Williams, 
David Wilkes, and Jerry Huff.

Honorary Pallbearers are Scott Senseney, Terry Ware, Karl Huff, Jerry Lee, and 
Larry White.

Visitation will be 3:00 PM 9:00 PM, Sunday, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, 
Rayville.
