Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend, Anissa passed away April 1, 2009, after a lengthy illness. Born June 25, 1971 in New Orleans, LA, she was adopted by Johnny and Addie Sibley at two weeks of age. Anissa was preceded in death by her mother, Addie Spearman Sibley. She is survived by her father, Johnny Sibley; brother, Travis Sibley, his wife Jennifer, and their children, Kristin Newman, Stephen Newman, and Haley Sibley. Anissa truly loved her family with the heart of a child and was a dear friend to all of us. Despite her illness, she remained a huge fan of professional baseball and followed the Atlanta Braves' season religiously. Even without the ability to see, she was a wealth of baseball knowledge and commentary. Anissa was passionate about her two dogs, Daisy and Destiny and missed them greatly after they had gone. She found solace in loss through poetry which we will always treasure. Anissa was a friend in whom you could trust your deepest secrets without fear of judgment. Now in heaven, she has no more pain, no more suffering, and no more cares. She is finally free to see again and to run the streets, once again smiling as she always did as a child. Visitation will be Friday, April 3, 2009, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Owen Meyers and his staff for years of supportive care and friendship.
