Marion Spence and Rev. Woody Janise officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hale Cemetery in Baskin under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Winnsboro, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Baskin Baptist Church, Baskin, LA. Mrs. Sikes was born on March 18, 1932, and passed away on March 6, 2015. She was a member of Baskin Baptist Church and was actively involved in the WMU for many years. Her commitment to her family and her daily walk with Christ was an example for others to follow. Spending time with her family and growing flowers brought her the most joy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Sikes; her parents, Lucille Lovett and Lewis Lavon Watley; and her son- in-law, Sidney Young. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, five daughters, Debra Young, Faye Carter and husband Randy, Karon Little and husband Bud, Cheryl Williams and husband Byron, Emily Janise and husband Woody; two sons, David Sikes and wife Mary Ann, and Tim Sikes and wife Angela; nine grandchildren, Corey Carter and wife Dianne, Michael Little and wife Caroline, Andrew Young, Matthew Young, Thomas Little and wife Brandi, Brandon Williams and wife Jessica, Kerri Williams, Parker and Jackson Sikes; seven great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Anna Carter, Hunter and Hayden Little, Natalie Little, Sadee and Barrett Williams; five siblings, Pearl Mahaffey, Billy Watley, Buddy Watley, Mary Black, and John Wayne Lovett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
