Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at the the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Gill Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Patricia will forever be remembered for her sweet and ready smile, her spunky pe personality, her southern charm and grace, and her ability to make life fun. She devoted her life and career to be in service of others , spending over 30 years at Louisiana Department of Family Services and Health and Hospitals, before ending up at The Wellspring in a community outreach position that she felt was perfectly suited for her. She felt at home at The Wellspring with her co-workers and the law enforcement officers she was privileged to meet and tr travel with throughout the country. Patricia grew up, and fondly remembered her childhood at Temple Baptist Church before moving to the Oak Grove Baptist Church community nearly 50 years ago. She was an active member in the community and church serving in many capacities from youth Sunday school teacher to decorating and events-though she will be rememb remembered for playing the piano there and making beautiful music for the Lord for th for the past 40 years. Patricia did not ever meet a stranger, and because of that, her friendships are many many. She loved her church family, her friends at Harvey's, the ladies of the Unit United Methodist Women's group, her south Texas friends, and her high school girl girlfriends. She knew how blessed she was to have so many people to call call 'friend'. She loved deeply, laughed easily, enjoyed life fully, and forgave often. She le left a little sparkle wherever she went. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-love, Leslie Simon Cox and Aaron, of Mertzon, TX; her grandson, Hunter Futch and his girlfriend, Jessie Spillers, both of Ruston, LA; brother Billy Reems and wife Holly of Humble, TX; brother Bobby Reems of Tyler, TX; sister-in-law and dearest friend, Dena Simon LaBorde and husband Bobby of Winnsboro, LA; nephew, Brandon LaBorde of Denton, TX; and a a host of very special friends and family. She is preceded in death by her son, Frank Bernard Simon, Jr.; her parents, Willie Reems and Masel Newton Reems Graham; step-father, Riley Graham, Sr.; in-laws, Monroe and laws, Monroe and Lessie Simon; brother in-law, Jerry Simon; and her best friend, Carolyn 'Louise' Pailette.
