LOIS SIMPSON

Lois Simpson, 83 of Farmerville, a homemaker, died Saturday after a lengthy 
illness. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Evergreen Baptist Church, 
Bernice with Rev. Everett Geis officiating. Burial will be in the church 
cemetery, under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Farmerville. Mrs. 
Simpson was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmerville. She is preceded 
in death by her husband, Earl Simpson and granddaughter, Amy Simpson. 
Survivors include her daughter: Earline Evans and husband, Mike, of 
Farmerville; two sons: Ira Simpson and wife, Carol Ann of Bernice, and Jerry 
Simpson and wife Brenda, of Monroe; two sisters: Madrell Kinney of Conroe, TX, 
and Mertice Baxter of Monroe; brother: J. C. Watson of Sheridan, AR; six 
grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-
grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bo Barmore, Mike Evans, Jerry Simpson, 
Roger Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, and John Wortham.
