Rev. Rick Crandall will officiate. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mrs. Simpson was born March 2, 1915 in Monroe, LA and died September 9, 2009 in West Monroe. She was a retired cashier at the ULM Bookstore. She was a member of the McClendon Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir and the Lula Day Sunday School Class. Mrs. Simpson was also a member of the Twin City Porcelain Art Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband S. C. Simpson in 1960 and her parents, Harvey and Sally Jasper. Mrs. Simpson is survived by her daughter, Paula Hipp; son Jerry Simpson and wife Susan; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Ron Barfield, John Jones, Ray Arthur, Mike Tichele, Johnny Jackson, and Lonnie Shows. Honorary pallbearers are Dan Lary, Bob Witt, Paul Pigott, and Max Simpson, Jr. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2009 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McClendon Baptist Church Building Fund.
