Officiating the service will be Rev. Kurt Auger. Interment will follow in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Bernice, LA, under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Rean was born on February 2, 1952 in Arcadia, LA, and passed away on December 17, 2016 in Farmerville, LA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Gleaners Sunday School class. Rean graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and was a receptionist for Origin Bank in Farmerville for thirty nine years. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Edwin (Tip) Simpson, and Larene (Jo) Brasher Simpson. Survivors include her sister, Robbie Dean Simpson of Farmerville, LA; brother, Eddie Joe Simpson and wife Marcie of Jonesboro, LA; niece, Jolea Simpson of Jonesboro, LA;Lindsey Simpson of Casselberry, FL; Shelby Simpson Tolar and husband Brett of Jonesboro, LA; aunts, Lou Nell Taylor of West Monroe, LA; Iris Faye Rogers of Bernice, LA; Doris Brasher of Ruston, LA; uncle, Glen Holloway and wife Julia of Bernice, LA; also numerous other family relatives. Pallbearers will be Bruce Patton, Michael Fontana, Rannie Russell, Bobby Brasher, Barry Brasher, Danny Frasier, Tim Tettleton, and Brandon Maxwell. Honorary Pallbearer will be Joe Harper, David Baughman, Roger Simpson, Lance Futch, and Donnie Gates, members of the Gleaners Sunday School Class, and Origin Bank employees. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Charity of Donor's choice.
