Born July 6th, 19 1927 in New Orleans, Mrs. Simpson attended Behrman High School and graduated fr from Business College. It was while working in New Orleans, that she met her hu husband of 63 years, Dr. J. Ralph Simpson, whom she married in 1948. The couple se settled in Monroe, where Mrs. Simpson was active in the Junior League of Monroe an and the Monroe Garden Club. She was also active for many years in the PEO wo women's organization. Mrs. Simpson was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending ti time with her family and many friends. At the time of her death, she was a me member of First Presbyterian Church in Pensacola, Florida. Mrs. Simpson was the loving mother of four children and beloved grandmother of two grandsons and one great granddaughter. She is survived by three daughters, Sally Simpson Patterson and her husband Larry, Janice Simpson Sugar, Lynda Simpson Newbold and her husband Herb, and son, Joseph R. Simpson, Jr., and his wife Jan. She is also survived by grandsons Scott Patterson and his wife Susan, their daughter Clara Blume, and Clay Patterson and his wife Dezirae. She will be be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Visitation will be from 5:00PM till 7:00PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the Mulhearn Mulhearn Funeral Home, 2308 Sterlington Rd., Monroe, Louisiana. Services will be held at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Monroe, Louisiana on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Me Memorial Park Mausoleum.
