SIMPSON Funeral service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Johnnie V. Simpson, 94, of Calhoun, LA, will be held 11:00AM Tuesday June 6, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe with Dr. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe. Mr. Simpson was a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe. He also was a member of Highland Park Country Club and Pinehills Country Club. Mr. Simpson was a retired lumber salesman with Russell Moore Lumber Co. and was an Army veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart Recipient. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Jane Simpson; father, T. F. Simpson Sr.; mother, Lillie Mae Simpson; siblings, Ervin Simpson; T. F. Simpson, Jr., Mary Jo Fulton, Billy F. Simpson, and LaRue Simpson; and daughter-in- law, Beverly Neal Simpson. Survivors include his wife Anna Joyce Williams Simpson; son, Johnny Simpson Jr. of West Monroe, LA; daughter Jamie Rawlinson and husband Jesse of Mer Rouge, LA; step-daughter, Ann Williams Long and husband Brandon of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Gilley and husband Lee of West Monroe, LA; Peyton Long and Landry Long of Bossier City, LA; Jesse Rawlinson V and wife Kaitlin; Erin Rawlinson of Shreveport, LA; great grandchild, Abigail Jane Gilley; sister, Floyce Meyer; and sister-in-law, Lila Simpson. Pallbearers will be Jesse Rawlinson IV, Clyde Albritton, Lee Gilley, Brandon Long, Les White, and Brian Russell. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Monday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of West Monroe or to your favorite charity.
