Mulhearn Funeral Home

West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. Obie G. Sims, 56, of Conroe, TX formerly of West 
Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday August 17, 2008 in the chapel of Mulhearn 
Funeral Home, West Monroe with Wanda Cosentino officiating. Interment will 
follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Calhoun, LA under the direction 
of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mr. Sims worked as a pipe liner but his hobby was his family. He was always 
willing and able to help family or friends in need. After retirement, being the 
workaholic that he was, he joined the team at H & H X-Ray services to work side 
by side with life long friend, Kenny Head, Sr.

Obie is preceded in death by his father, "O.C." Sims, Sr. and granddaughter, 
Kimberly Miller Vaughn.

Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years Lillian K. Sims; children, Allen, 
Debbie, Dewania, and Jamie; mother, Rebecca Sims; eight grandchildren; nine 
great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; sister, Lynn "Billie" 
Mattlock; brothers, Obie C. Sims, Jr. and wife Jimmie and David Sims; a host of 
nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends, and his best friend, Kenny Head, 
Sr. and wife Peggy.

Pallbearers will be Chad Jones, Joey Rials, Rick Bates, Keaton Bates, Obie Dale 
Sims, Jr., Randy Bell, and Jonathan Hefley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Head, Sr., Kenny Head, Jr., Toby Head, Dean 
Head, Clyde Slaughter, Kenny Coats, and Scott Swanner.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM Saturday August 16, 2008 at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
