TAYLOR "PUGGY" SKAINS 

Farrar Funeral Home, Farmerville, LA 

Funeral services for Taylor "Puggy" Skains, 67, of Farmerville will be held at 
10:00am Friday, December 14th, 2007 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Bro. 
Woody Reeder officiating. Burial will be at Sardis Cemetery. Arrangements are 
under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr. Skains, a 
retired carpenter, died December 12, 2007. He was preceded in death by his 
father, John O. Skains; and brothers-in-law, Charles Johnson & Marvin 
Albritton. Survivors include his mother, Orare Skains of Farmerville; wife, 
Maxine Skains of Farmerville; 1 son, John Skains & wife, Karen of Jackson, MS; 
2 brothers: Bennie Skains & wife, Nan of Farmerville and Danny Skains & wife, 
Debbie of Farmerville; 1 sister, Ruth Albritton of Farmerville; 2 sisters-in-
law: Lavenia Bearden & husband, Emmett of Farmerville and Ann Hatten & 
husband, Courtney of Farmerville; 1 granddaughter, Ashley Skains of Jackson, 
MS and numerous nieces & nephews. Pallbearers are Stan Bearden, Curtis Pope, 
Junior Johnson, Dennis Lannan, Ricky Skains and Pete Lannan. Honorary 
pallbearers: Roston Johnson, Boyce Pearson, Aubrey Ray. Emmett Bearden and 
Courtney Hatten. Visitation will be 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM Thursday at Mt. Tabor 
Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to 
St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
