TAVA HALE SKINNER

Funeral services for Tava Hale Skinner will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday July 5, 2014 
at White's Ferry Road Church of Christ with Charles Beckham and Mike Kellett 
officiating. Interment will be in Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens, under the 
direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mrs. Skinner was born on November 2, 1927 in Epps, LA, and passed away on July 
1, 2014 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of the Whites Ferry Church of 
Christ in West Monroe where she taught Sunday school for 25 years. Mrs. Skinner 
owned and operated her beauty shop in West Monroe for many years. She is 
preceded in death by her husband Harston Skinner, son, Jim Skinner, parents, 
three sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include her sons, Don Skinner and Barbara, Larry Skinner and wife 
Sandy; grandchildren, Jeremy Skinner and wife Angela, and Jennifer Stamey; Clay, 
Sandi, Brian, Rosalyn, Rachel, and Randall; sister, Gerliean Oser; sisters-in-
law, Opal Hale, and Mary Alice Putman; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday July 3, 2014 at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA and from 1:00 P.M. until Service Time 
Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ World Radio.

Special thanks to James, Maudie, Cynthia and Dottie, LA Hospice, Dr. Ron Hammett 
and Don Hammett. A very special thank you to Barbara for your countless hours of 
care and dedication to mom.
