Brown-Holley Funeral Home Rayville, LA 

Funeral services for Mary Lou Smith, 86, of Start, LA will be held at 10:00 
AM, Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the Crew Lake United Methodist Church, 
Start, LA with Rev. Billy Brunfield and Rev. Jay Morgan officiating. Burial 
will be in Start Cemetery, Start, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley 
Funeral Home, Rayville, LA. Mary Lou Smith was born on April 13, 1921 and 
passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Smith 
was a member of the Crew Lake United Methodist Church, Start, LA. She was a 
retired School Teacher with the Richland Parish School System. She was 
preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angie Sanson and parents, Lee and 
Dottie Taylor Survivors include her husband, Verne "Red" Smith of Start; 
daughter, Linda Wilson and husband, Ernest of Start; sons, Jerry L. Smith and 
wife, Beanie of Vicksburg, MS and Terry Joel Smith and wife, Beverly of 
Jonesville, LA; 8-grandchildren; 17-great grandchildren and 6-great-great 
grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Billy Whitten, David Ray Davis, Andrew 
Cole, Walter Garner, Bentley Curry, and Aubrey Watts. Visitation will be 5:00 
PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, December 17, 2007 at Crew Lake United Methodist Church 
in Start, LA
