A memorial service for David Wayne Smith, 39, of West Monroe will be held on 
Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Good Hope 
Baptist Church with Rev. David Chapman officiating.

Born April 8th, 1969, in Monroe, LA, he is the oldest son of Wayne and Betty 
McCarley Smith. A veteran of service with the Louisiana National Guard, he was 
an active member of the Good Hope Baptist Church and was a well-known cook 
with incredible music ability. He passed away on Saturday, February 7th, 2009.

Survivors include his loving wife, Shelly; sons, Jakeb and Dylan, and 
daughter, Madisyn; his parents, Betty and Wayne Smith, 2 brothers, Michael 
Smith and wife, Kim, and Mark Smith; a niece, Hannah Smith; and a numerous 
extended family members and friends.
