BETTYE MAXWELL SMITH

A celebration of the life of Bettye Maxwell Smith, age 75, will be held at First 
Baptist Church Ruston on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Visitation from 9:00-11:00 and 
service immediately following. Bettye was born January 22, 1939 in Ruston, 
Louisiana, to Beulah Pipes Maxwell and Spencer Colvin Maxwell and passed away 
July 16, 2014. She was a native of Choudrant, Louisiana, and a resident of 
Haughton, Louisiana for 42 years. She will be missed by family and friends. 
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James Erwin Smith, her daughter, 
Julie and husband Brad Lepore of Shreveport, son James Maxwell Smith of Dallas, 
TX, son Jeffrey Byron Smith and wife Leisha of Choudrant, sister Carolyn Maxwell 
Driver of Nacogdoches, TX and grandchildren, Rod, Colin, Loren, Rachel and 
Logan.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Robert Zirkle, Derrill Banks, Brad Lepore, 
Rod Folks, Loren Lepore, Logan Smith, Chet Driver, Colin Lepore.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The
American Cancer Society
or The First Baptist Church of Ruston Building Fund.Online condolence messages
