SHIRLEY DIEL SMITH

Funeral services for Ms. Shirley Diel Smith of West Monroe will be 10:00am 
Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. 
Scott Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park in 
Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will 
be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, November 28, 2014 at the funeral home.

Ms. Smith was born December 16, 1935 in Inverness, Mississippi and passed from 
this life on November 25, 2014 in West Monroe at the age of 78.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Lee Wilkerson & Louise Criddle 
Wilkerson; husbands, Henry Cecil Diel and Alfred Smith and three brothers.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Eichinger & fiancé Lee Roy Stacy; two 
sons, William C. Diel & wife Vickie and Rodney L. Diel & wife Kim; two sisters, 
three brothers, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-
grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Eric Diel, Jeremy Sanders, Raymond Cheeks, Joey Diel, Randy 
Diel, and Randy Gilley.
