Reverend William L. Smith, Reverend L. C. Lord and Beth Chandler will be officiating. Interment will follow at Crowville Masonic Cemetery, Crowville, Lousiana, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Reverend Smith passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was an honorably discharged Navy veteran of WWII. Brother C.T., as he was affectionately known by all his Christian friends, was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His ministry spanned over 50 years, during which he pastored churches throughout Northeast Louisiana. Following his retirement from F.B.C. Calhoun, he continued to minister in various places including interims throughout this same area. In addition, he served as past president of the Passion Play at Calhoun, LA. He was also honored as a 50+ year member of the Crowville Masonic Lodge. Brother C.T.'s ministry was the greatest joy of his life. To God be the glory for allowing him to serve Him and to experience the love and friendship of so many through these years. "Well done my good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:21. Reverend Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Donie Smith, and his sister, Doris. Survivors include his wife of 69 + years, Enid H. Smith; his children, Reverend William L. Smith (Luna) of Monroe, LA; and Richard T. Smith (Judy) of Alexandria, LA; sister, Georgia Swayne of Milton, Florida; brother, James M Smith (Pattie) of Bossier City, Louisiana; 5 grandchildren, Christy Hart (Mark); Jennifer Perryman (Chris); Amy Gaspard (Chad); Matthew Smith (Susan); Sarah Hill (Ryan); 5 great grandchildren, Will, Haley, Wes, Sadie, and Carter; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe.
