NETTIE RUTH SMITH

Graveside services for Mrs. Nettie Ruth Smith will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, 
August 28, 2015 at the Smith Family Cemetery near Pioneer, LA. with Bro. Norman 
Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 12 
noon and 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28th, at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Nettie Ruth Smith was born October 1, 1936 in Shreveport, LA. to the late Tim 
Beach and Lena Beach Tribble. She passed away peacefully, with her family by 
her side, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her residence in Swartz, LA. She is 
preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Harold Ray Smith; her 
parents; her step-father, Robert A. Tribble; and two siblings, Bertha Houck and 
Bob Beach.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Rowland Road Missionary Baptist Church and 
retired owner, along with her husband, of Smith Exterminating Company of 
Monroe.

She is loved dearly by her five daughters, Susan Ruth Sisson (Paul), Cindy 
Scott (Johnny), Sharon Hughes (Gary), Shellie Croswell (Curt), and Tessie 
Gregory (Wes) all of Monroe, LA.; she was cherished by her ten grandchildren, 
Tara Carter, Todd Sisson, Jada Barber, Jason Scott, Justin Scott, Coty Brooke 
Mattice, Kirstie Croswell, Ethan Croswell, Haley Gregory, Kolby Gregory; and 
adored by her fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived her brother, 
Tim Beach, Jr. of Bastrop, LA.

Serving as pallbearers are Todd Sisson, Jason Scott, Justin Scott, Chip Barber, 
Billy Carter, and Will White.

Honorary pallbearer is TY Giddens.
