John Albright and Rev. Don Blackmon officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Smith served his country in the Army Air Born, with the 82nd Air Born. He was a lay minister of the First Presbyterian Church. He loved to fish and garden, and was a charter member of the Good Samaritans and loved woodworking, donating most of his goodies to others. He retired from ANR Pipeline Company after 34 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; Morris and Emily Smith, brother; Maurice "Buddy" Smith, and sister; Bobbie Martin. Survivors include: His loving wife of 57 years, Mrs. Jimmie Smith of Winnsboro. 2 Sons; Sydney James Smith and wife Tammy of West Monroe, and Ronald Ray Smith and wife Charlotte of Denham Springs, 3 grandchildren; Jessica Branch, Jordyn Smith, and Claire Smith, 2 great-grandchildren; Jackson Branch and Reece Branch, brother-in-law; Don Blackmon and wife Stella of Chase, and a host of other family and friends will mourn his passing. Pallbearers are: Guy Smith, Jimmy Thompson, Johnny Guice, Franklin Clay, Aaron Scott and Billy Boutwell. Honorary Pallbearers are: Billy R. Givens, William Shepard, Jr., and Steve Thompson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Winnsboro, LA.
