MARY VIRGINIA SMITH

Graveside Services for Mrs. Mary Virginia Smith, 91 of Wisner, LA will be at 
10:00 AM Thursday, July 14, 2016 at South Central Baptist Church Cemetery, with 
Bro. Thomas Peoples and Bro. Carlton Vance officiating, under the direction of 
Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mrs. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church in Wisner, taught school, loved 
working in her garden, spending time with family, and loved to go to the lake 
and picnic, and take care of others. She was preceded in death by her parents; 
Ernest and Jenny Bell Furr Hoggatt, and granddaughter, Megan Leigh Monroe.

Survivors include: Husband of 72 years, James T. "Buck" Smith, son, James 
Ernest Smith and wife Sherrelene of Sibley, LA., daughter, Connie Monroe and 
husband Jim of Baton Rouge, LA., 3 Grandchildren; James Christopher Monroe and 
wife Lindsey of Montgomery, TX., Darryl Ryan Monroe and wife Natalie of 
Alexandria, LA., Tanya Dawn Larson and husband Kyle of Temple, TX, 6 Great 
Grandchildren; Mallory Larson, Shelby Larson, Ryan Monroe, Raegan Monroe, 
Parker Monroe, and Pierson Monroe.

Pallbearers are: Chris Monroe, Darryl Monroe, Paul Ray Jones, Paul Garrett 
Jones, John Byrd, and Kyle Larson.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Deacons of First Baptist Church in Wisner.

Special thanks to Dr. Roger Smith and Dr. Tommy Banks of Wisner, Family Home 
Health, First Choice Hospice of Monroe, and members of First Baptist Church of 
Wisner, who loved and cared for her.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in 
Winnsboro.
