SMITH Plaquemine La.-Cape Canaveral Fl. Billy Charles Smith Jr. passed away on January 26, 2017 after a long illness. He was born in Monroe Louisiana on May 11th, 1958 and grew up in Calhoun Louisiana. He was born on Mother's Day to the late Billy Charles Smith Sr. and Helen Graves Smith. Billy graduated from LSU with a Bachelor's in General Business. He managed catering, restaurant and bar businesses, and served as a Paraprofessional educator to special needs children. He was published in the Who's Who of American Poetry. Billy had a heart of service for family, friends and especially children. He was a Green Bay Packers fan and gave his Heart and Total Support to the LSU Tigers… Geaux Tigers!!! He was a Native American of the Cherokee Nation. He is survived by his brother Gregory Smith and family of Cape Canaveral Florida, aunts, uncles, and close friends whom he considered family. He requested that he be cremated with no viewing of his body the way he left life. He wanted his memorial service to include pictures of the special moments and happy times in which he lived his life.
