West Monroe, LA

Funeral Services for Mr. Phillip Stanley Smith, Jr. 87, of West Monroe, will 
be 10:30 AM Monday, September 21, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
West Monroe with Rev. Phillip S. Smith, III officiating. Interment will follow 
at Antioch Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born on September 7, 1922 in Monroe, LA and passed away on 
September 18, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Smith was a member of the Woodlawn 
Methodist Church. He graduated from the Northeast Louisiana Junior College. He 
was a Corporal in the United States Army during World War II. He was a great 
patriot. He was a member of the Northeast Louisiana Chapter of the American Ex-
POW's.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sue Henry Smith; 
his second wife, Ann Fowler Smith and grandson, Jake Thomas Webb.

He is survived by his children, Phillip S. Smith, III, Virginia Bryant and 
husband Billy, and Bryan Smith and wife Barbara; seven grandchildren, Melissa 
Smith, Jodie Smith, Tammie Smith, Paige Hendricks, Stacey Webb, Misty Rogers, 
and Amy Campbell; and ten great grandchildren, Sarah, Jonas, Jorja, Cody, 
Morgan, Major, Mason, Carter, Hayden, and Cooper Claire.

Pallbearers will be Tom Webb, Jason Rogers, David Campbell, Lance Hendricks, 
Terry Fuller, and Malcolm Dickerson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
