Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until service time. Mrs. Smith passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 of natural causes. She was born February 15, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Henry Childress and Marietta Houldridge. She attended Ouachita Baptist College and received an Associates Degree. She worked various jobs before becoming a full-time homemaker. She married Marvin Louis Smith, Jr. in 1946 and they were married 71 years. Rosemary is survived by her husband, Marvin L. Smith, her three children-Marvin Smith (Beth), Marsha Ramsey (Dean), Carole Rye (Chip), seven grandchildren - Christin Smith (Cameron), Chad Smith (Becca), William Ramsey, Christina Ramsey, Rachel Neal (Bryan), Rebekah Toney (Kaden), and Hannah Rye, seven great grandchildren-Hudson, Laurel and Lainey Smith, Carter, Mason, Silas and Rosemary Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosemary adored and encouraged her children, grandchildren, and husband. Their devotion to each other has been an inspiration to their family, caregivers, and all who knew her. Avid Razorback and Cardinal fans they attended many football and baseball games. She was fun-loving and had a great sense of humor. Rosemary had a beautiful voice and a choir member in the First West Choir and sang in Estelle Sander's Spring Serenade for many years. She loved Jesus and shared her faith readily with the people around her. Memorials may be made to First West Church, West Monroe.
