Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 21 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Spann, a retired store owner and manager, passed away Friday, December 19 in West Monroe, LA. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She always found the good in everyone and never met a stranger. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Central Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Grice of West Monroe, LA, Gwen Dodds and husband Thomas of Booneville, MS, and Sherri Slade and husband Johnny of Bastrop, LA; her sons, Lester Pinkard and wife Emily of League City, TX and John Spann and wife Stacey of Chattanooga, TN; her brother, Jimmy Goff and wife Veronica; her sister-in-law, Wynemah Waggener and husband Gayle; her brothers- in-law, David Spann and wife Rhonda, Billy Spann and wife Joyce, Larry Spann and wife Cindy, Bobby Spann and wife Janie, Harry Spann and wife Flora; grandchildren, Candice Joles, Ariel Ladner, Mary Claire Spann, Caroline Spann, Corrine Spann, John Michael Ray, Lester Pinkard, Jr., Robert Pinkard, and Jacob Slade; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Spann is preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Spann; parents, Jake and Viola Goff; half sister, Ollie Phillips; granddaughter, Marina Ladner. Serving as pallbearers will be Buddy Frost, Richard Reynolds, Phillip Lester, Jerry McDonald, Kenneth Looney and Hugh Dreher. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Sawyer, W.M. Matheny and Melvin Eubanks.
