MARY L. SPILLERS

Celebration of Life for: Mary L. Spillers, 94, of Huttig, AR, formerly of 
Downsville, LA will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2014, in the chapel of Griffin 
Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Scott Jennings and Rev. Jeff May 
officiating. Interment will follow at Spillers Cemetery in Downsville. The 
family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service.

Mrs. Mary L. Spillers was born on May 14, 1920, and passed from this life on 
July 17, 2014. She married JC. Spillers on October 15, 1940.

She is preceded in death by husband, JC Spillers; daughters, Velma Miller and 
Bonnie Atkins; and sister, Bessie Mae Outz.

Survivors include her children, Denise Spillers of Huttig, AR, Joyce Norwood and 
her husband Larry, James Spillers Jr. and his wife Ellen of Farmerville, LA, 
Sandy Spillers of El Dorado, AR, Don Spillers and his wife Flora of West Monroe; 
Doris Johnson of NM, John Spillers of TX; 20 grandchildren, 45 great-
grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, plus Baby Marshall due January 
2015; brother, Leroy Pouncey of Austin, TX and sister, Katy Cook of Myrtle 
Beach, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Larry Norwood Jr., James Norwood, Jason Norwood, Scott 
Norwood, Benji Williams and Tommy Kendrick. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy 
D. Kendrick, Dakota Eppinette, Kevin Eppinette, and Brandon Norwood.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Life Touch 
Hospice and the 3rd Floor of the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
