CHARLES DAVID SPILLERS


Memorial services for Mr. Charles David Spillers of West Monroe, LA will be 
2:00pm Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home 
West Monroe with Rev. Greg Dunn officiating. Visitation will be from 
12:00noon until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Spillers was born December 17, 1948 in Monroe, LA and passed from this 
life on September 9, 2017 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 68. He served his 
country for four years in the United States Air Force, he retired from 
Entergy as a lineman after 38 years of service and was a member of the 
Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, grilling and he loved to eat and 
hosting fish-fries with his family. He was a good man, always willing to 
help someone and was a wonderful provider for his family. He was a good son, 
husband, father and brother and was loved and respected by all who knew him. 
He will be missed greatly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Zeola Spillers.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Joyce Spillers of West Monroe; one 
son, Charles J. Spillers, II of West Monroe; one grandson, Trevor Spillers; 
three brothers, Robert Spillers of West Monroe, John Spillers and wife, Kay 
of Farmerville and William Spillers and wife Brenda of Wilhite; one sister, 
Maudie Smith and husband Buddy of Wilhite; also survived by a host of 
extended family and friends.
