GEORGE W. STAMEY Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe, LA Funeral Services for Rev. George W. Stamey will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Start Baptist Church in Start, LA. Pastors Glenn Gulliams, Pastor David Sistrunk and Pastor Joe Turner will be officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, LA. Mr. Stamey was born on Oct 02, 1920 in Walters, OK and passed away on May 18, 2009 in Monroe, LA. He is a retired minister and retired also from Louisiana Machinery as a mechanic. Mr. Stamey served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Stamey. He is survived by sons, Billy Stamey, Kenneth Stamey and wife Aimee; daughters, Karen Cumpton and husband Bill, Margaret Porter and husband Richard; sister, Flurette Ausborn; brother, David Stamey. He is survived by thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters and his Senior Men's Class.
