STAMPER Riser Funeral Home Columbia, LA Funeral services for Hedy M. Stamper, age 83 of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 Sunday, April 5, 2009 in the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA. Hedy Stamper was born on December 24, 1925 and passed away on April 3, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center following a brief illness. Hedy was a native of Northeast Louisiana and was employed by the Louisiana Employment Agency in Baton Rouge, Ruston and Monroe for 31 years. She spent most of her retired years enjoying hunting with her brother and nephews and spending time with her family and friends. She was better known as Aunt Hedy. Hedy was preceded in death by her parents, Issac and Clara Stamper. She is survived by her brother, George Stamper and his wife Billie Jean, two nephews, Glenn Stamper and his wife Vicki, Gary Stamper and wife Shelia, four great nephews, Jason, Michael, Scott and Timmy and two great great nephews, Jacob and Caleb. Pallbearers will be Glenn Stamper, Gary Stamper, Jason Stamper, Michael Stamper, Scott Stamper and Terry Duckett. Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Stamper, Arnold Braddock, J. R. Walters, Huey Joyner, Benny Ray Cruse, T. H. Tingle and G. W.Douglas. Services will be conducted by Rev. Roger Johnson and Glenn Gore. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Saturday evening April 4th and Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until time of services at 2:00 P.M. at Riser Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, LA. Memorials may be made to Welcome Home Cemetery or charity of your choice. We would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Joiner who went above and beyond and above her duties as a Dr. and also the staff at St. Francis Medical Center.
