Frank Sellers officiating. A memorial gathering of family and friends will follow from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Stamper was born January 14, 1942 in Zavalla, TX and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2015 in Monroe, LA. She was a member at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Monroe. Mrs. Stamper was a devout and loving housewife. She retired from Bancroft Bag Company. Mrs. Stamper loved country music and playing cards. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Her pride and joy was spending time with family, especially the children, but most of all with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very simple person with a heart of gold. Mrs. Stamper is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Gertrude Clark Brown; two sisters, Billie Nerren and Earlene Mayfield; and son-in-law, Randy Traweek. Survivors include her husband of three years, James L. Stamper; four children, Denise Warner and husband Jeff, Barry Harris, Connie Traweek, Tracy Harris and wife Candy; eight grandchildren, Mandy Copeland, Kelli Harris, D.D. Brooks, Jack Warner, Samantha Traweek, Makayla Traweek, Grant Warner, and Misti Harris; two great-grandchildren, Brantley Brooks and Carson Guthrie; five sisters, Doris Roebuck, Nelda Martin, Elaine Stovall, Cheryl Tittle, and Lynne Knippers; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel Assembly of God Church Building Fund, 4813 Hadley Street, Monroe, LA 71201.
