Funeral services for Dalton Travis Stansbury, 72 of West Monroe, LA will be 
held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 26, 2009 in the chapel of Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Philip Bedenbender officiating. 
Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Choudrant, LA under the direction 
of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Dalton was born July 20, 1936 in Farmerville, LA and passed away Monday, 
February 23, 2009 following a sudden illness. Dalton retired from Entergy after 
34 years of service. Mr. Dalton owned and operated Dalton's Discount in West 
Monroe. Dalton always had a bright smile and a cup of coffee for friends and 
customer dropping by to talk to "Mr. Dalton". He was a loving devoted husband 
to his wife of 53 years, a kind, wonderful father to his children and a loving, 
teasing, "PawPaw" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dalton enjoyed 
raising cattle, goats and working outdoors and visiting with his friends and 
playing with his great-grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Davis Stansbury of West Monroe; daughter, Terry 
LaForge and husband Robin; son, Jerry Ray Stansbury and wife Sandy and 
daughter, Sherry Tyeece Hendrix all of West Monroe; granddaughters, Jennifer 
Stephenson and husband Brandon of Tallahassee, FL; Megan Gendron and husband 
Joe of Baton Rouge, LA; Lenee Moore of West Monroe; Jessi Stansbury of West 
Monroe; great-granddaughter Brittany Stephenson of Tallahassee, Fl and great-
grandson Austin Moore of West Monroe, LA; two sisters; Dorline Cole and Peggy 
Ginn , both of Farmerville, LA; brother, Albert Stansbury, Jr. of West Monroe, 
LA; special friend, Lynn Driggers and dog Jack.

Pallbearers will be; Joe Gendron, Brandon Stephenson, Bruce Davis, Mike 
Tedeton, Bobby Graves and Levi Chavis.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
