CARL WILBURN STATHAM


Services for Carl Wilburn Statham, 75, of Gilmer, Texas were held on Sunday, 
May 26, 2013, at 3 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Blake Lander 
officiating. Burial was held on Monday, May 27, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at Mulhearn 
Memorial Park in Monroe, Louisiana.

Born on June 5, 1937, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Henry Lewis and Myrine 
Rozelle Statham, he died on Friday, May 24, 2013. He was a veteran of the 
United States National Guard. A retired assistant manager of a retail lumber 
company, he was a member of the Gilmer First Baptist Church.

On August 31, 1956, in Monroe, Louisiana, he married Mary Cynthia Hart and 
together they shared 56 years.

In addition to his wife, those left to cherish his memory are his son, Carl 
Duke Statham, two daughters, Diane Statham Allbritton and Denise Statham 
Buller; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Roy B. Statham.

Pallbearers were his grandchildren—DeAngelo Eleam, Tyler Buller, Morgan Buller, 
Kati Buller, Jacob Allbritton, and Jere' Robinson.

Honorary pallbearers were Mark Rice, J.W. Snipes, Robert L. Wilhite, and Duane 
Channell.
