Funeral Services for Lucille will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA, with Dr. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA. Visitation will be at Mulhearn Chapel on Friday, February 10, 2017, from 5:00-7:00pm. Lucille was married to Howard Earle for over 50 years then reconnected with and married her high school sweetheart, Ottis Statham. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Start, LA, for many years. She spent her life as a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of and visiting with her family. She loved to sew and liked cooking for her family. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Even in her 90's, she was able to take many trips to Texas to see her great-grandchildren in school plays and sporting events. Her favorite past times were reading books, feeding and watching birds on her patio. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Lillian Moore of Richland Parish, LA; sister, Jewell Alpha, husband "Peck" of West Monroe, LA; brother, Doug Moore of West Monroe, LA; husbands, Howard Earle and Ottis Statham of Start, LA. She is survived by daughter, Ginger Johnson, husband Larry, of Monroe, LA; grandchildren Jennifer Porter, husband Charles, of Frisco, TX; Jeff Johnson, wife Cheryl, of Florence, MS; Joanna McDuffie, husband Barnett, of West Monroe, LA; great-grandchildren Leigh Ann, Luke, Andy, and Jake Porter of Frisco, TX; step-great-grandchildren Joseph Green and Billy Sypolt of Florence, MS, sister-in-law Elizabeth Moore of West Monroe, LA; step-son Jerry Statham of Concord, NC; brother-in-law, Roy Statham, wife Sara, of Chester, SC; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Jeff Johnson, Charles Porter, Barnett McDuffie, Don Johnson, Ed Hoover, Luke Porter, Andy Porter, and Jake Porter. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Green and Billy Sypolt.
