RODNEY STATHAM Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mr. D. Rodney Statham, age 74, are 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Neil Everett officiating. Interment follows at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Rodney Statham was born on September 9, 1935, in Girard, LA to Harry and Myrine Statham. He was a graduate of Neville High School Class of '54. He was a retired industrial construction project manager, a longtime member of Calhoun First Baptist Church, and a veteran of the Louisiana Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Kevin Statham; baby sister, Faith Myrine Statham; and brothers, Harry Taylor, John Rufus, Raymond B and Ernest Cooper Statham. Rodney is survived by wife, Earline Mathus Statham; two sons, Rodney Earl Statham and wife Kristine of Crosby, TX, and Richard Wayne Statham and wife Velma of Calhoun, LA; grand children Jessica Statham Jackson and husband Steven, Wesley Blade Statham, Derek Williams and wife Courtney, Cassandra Johnson and husband Will and Samantha Bottoms; great grandchildren Kirstin Johnson, Carlisle Johnson, Brooke Williams, Brittnie Heacock, Lee Bottoms, and Kurt Bottoms; great-great grand child, Marley Marie Bottoms. He also leaves behind three brothers, Otis "Dan" Statham (Lucille) of Monroe, LA; Roy Statham (Sarah) of Chester, SC, and Carl W. Statham (Cynthia) of Gilmer, TX, and Rodney will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Randy Wilbanks, Arlon Terrell, Jerry Aulds, Kenneth Bain, J. A. "Dude" Halley, and Ray Walters. Visitation is Monday, June 21, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA.
