HUEY STEPHENS

Funeral services for Huey Stephens, 73, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM 
Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, West Monroe, with 
Rev. Randy Burdeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial 
Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, 
Monroe.

Mr. Stephens, a dragline operator for the State of Louisiana, passed away 
Saturday, June 9, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center. He loved the outdoors, 
fishing and hunting, and his grandchildren. But most of all, he loved watching 
his grandchildren play sports.

Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Irene Stephens.

Survivors include his daughters, Beverly and Donnie Waller of West Monroe, 
Brenda and Robert King of Calhoun, and Leisa and Curtis Southern of West 
Monroe; grandchildren, Corey and Laura Beth Southern of West Monroe, Ethan and 
Kristina Southern of West Monroe, Autumn Brookse Southern of West Monroe, 
Tiger, Todd, and Breanna Waller of West Monroe, Sumer Stephens Wade of West 
Monroe, Kane and Tanner Frith of Calhoun, and Bryar King of Calhoun; sister, 
Peggy and Tommy Busby of Swartz; and great grandchildren, Landon Chandler, 
Addy Rae Wade, Gunner Wade, and Levi Southern.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tiger, Todd, Corey, Ethan, Kane, and Tanner. 
Honorary pallbearers will be Polly Stephens, Fred Norrell, Larry Norrell, Slim 
Stephens, and Buddy Frost.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mount Vernon Baptist 
Church, West Monroe.
