"CHUCK" STEPHENSON Brown-Holley Rayville, LA Funeral services for C.M. "Chuck" Stephenson, 52, of Rayville, LA will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Rayville First Baptist Church, with Dr. Ernest Winburn and Rev. Robert Stroud officiating. Interment will follow in Greer Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA. Chuck Stephenson was born September 10, 1956 and passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009 after a brief illness. Chuck was a member of the Rayville First Baptist Church and the church choir. He worked for the Richland Parish Sheriff's Office for 19 years. He was a Dare officer, Juvenile officer and investigator. Chuck loved sports and was an avid golfer. He coached his son, Andy in baseball throughout his youth. He loved to play his guitar, sing, and to be around people, his friends and family, he cared deeply for his son, Mo and all his special needs. Chuck is preceded in death by his son, Huey Morrell "Mo" Stephenson and father, Morrell Stephenson. He was married to his high school sweetheart for 33 years, Rachel Franks Stephenson of Rayville, LA; also survived by his daughter, Mandi Hollis and husband, Cory of Rayville and their children, Ian and Camron, and Ellie Caroline Hollis; son, Andy Stephenson and wife, Crystal of Rayville and their daughter, Kaytie Stephenson; mother, Elsye Stephenson of Rayville; brothers, Mike Stephenson and wife, Sharon of Rayville and Timmy Stephenson of Rayville; mother and father-in-law, Maggie and Huey Franks of Rayville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Huey Franks and wife, Pat, of Birmingham, AL, Debbie McCullough and husband, Bobby of Birmingham, AL, Cindy Odom and husband, Dennis of Rayville, and Randy Franks and wife, Leslie of Start; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers are Raymond Green, R.B. Green, Sonny Vidrine, Mike McKenzie, Chris Sasser, Mike Moncrief, Mike Forney, Mark Johnson, Terry Copeland, and Tony Haynes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles McDonald, Terry Thompson, all the members of the Richland Parish Sheriff's Office, and the Friday Morning Men's Bible Study Group. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, at Rayville First Baptist Church. When a person's steps follow the Lord, God is pleased with his ways.
