JAMES LOUIS "JIM" STEPHENS

West Monroe, La.

Funeral services for James Louis "Jim" Stephens, 73 of West Monroe, LA. , will 
be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home, West Monroe, LA. Rev. Don Wright will be officiating. Interment to 
follow at Hewitt Cemetery, Mangham, LA., under the direction of Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Stephens was born in Winnsboro, LA., on April 19, 1935 and passed away 
December 14, 2008, in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Stephens was a Mason and a member 
of Hamasa Shrine. He served in 82nd Airborne of the U.S. Army, worked for over 
25 years in Saudi Arabia in the oilfield. Mr. Stephens went on to receive his 
criminal Law Degree at the age of 61. He was a member of First Baptist Church 
of West Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents, "Rex" and Mable 
Stephens and sister, Flo Stephens Manning.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Stephens; sons, James Dawson Hicks and wife 
Roxie; daughter, Susan Dianne Windham and husband Bert; brother, Robert 
Stephens; six grandchildren, Derek James Hicks, Jeremie Dawson Hicks, Heather 
Marie Calhoun, Ryan Sydney Windham, Steffany Jill Sanders and Susan-Brooke 
Windham; five great-grandchildren, Olivia, Landen, Isabelle, Kyla, Jillian; 
and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ken Brown, Frank Miller, Lynn Lee, Alex Lee, Rick Walters, 
and Trey Oglesby.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
