Buford Brady and Rev. Artie Beebe officiating. Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Monticello Community. Service are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Visitation will start Friday from 2PM until time of service at the church. She is preceded in death by her son, Billy Kent Stephens; grandson, Hunter Kirkland; father, Vernon Holmes; sister, Virginia Castilaw; sister-in-law, Lori Holmes. Helen is survived by her husband of 43 years, Rocky Monroe Stephens of Monticello Community; son and daughter-in-law, Robby "Bubba" and Bonnie Stephens of Monroe, La; daughter and son-in-law, Stacie and Todd Davis of Toano, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Tommy Kirkland of Morganza, LA; 8 grandchildren, Trey Stephens, Tyler Stephens, Zack Stephens, Hannah Elena Stephens, Heather Lebrija, Kelley Lebrija, Dusten Kirkland, Riley Kirkland; great-grandchild, Walker Monroe Ellis; mother, Ida Faye Holmes of Monticello Community; special adopted son and daughter, Clay and Nancy Dewitt of Monticello Community; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bo Street of Tallulah, LA; brother and sister-in-law, David and Janet Holmes of Columbia, MO; brother, Ricky Holmes of Sondheimer, LA; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bo Street, Ricky Holmes, Trey Stephens, Kenny Hugh Hazelton, Clay Dewitt, Larry Vickery, Buddy Tyler, David Holmes.
