JAMES STEVENS

Funeral services for Mr. James "Jake" Stevens will be 2pm Wednesday at Cedar 
Crest Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Clark officiating. Interment will follow 
at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation 
will be from 5pm to 7pm Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Stevens was born on September 22, 1923 and passed from this life on 
September 1, 2013 at the age of 90. He served in the US Navy during WWII and 
was a commander of DAV for over 20 years. He was a supervisor of maintenance 
for the Ouachita School Board for 32 years.

Survivors include his wife Virginia Stevens; three children, Allen Ray 
Stevens, Pamela Stevens, & Randy Stevens; one grandchild, two great-
grandchildren, and a host of friends.
