FLOY WALLACE STEVENSON

Floy was born in West Monroe, LA, on August 19, 1922 and passed away at the age 
of 94 on December 22, 2016.

Visitation will be at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Monroe, LA, at 10:00 
AM. January 6, 2017. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM, with Rev. 
Steven Stewart and Rev. Dr. Tim Neustifter officiating. Entombment will follow 
at St. Paul's United Methodist Church Columbarium, under the direction of Mulhearn
Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Mae and Alvie Wallace; her hu
husband, Carl Stevenson, her sisters, Fay Wallace Saucer and husband Jack, Jean Wa
Wallace Hammons, and June Wallace.

Floy is survived by her children, Carl "Mike" Stevenson, Jr. and wife Jeanette, 
Anne Stevenson Cookston and her husband Cookie, Janet Stevenson Mathews and her
husban
husband James; brother in law, Lester Hammons; nine grandchildren, eleven great
grandc
grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

After retiring from a teaching career, for many years Floy enjoyed owning and oper
operating a retail shop.

Floy was the consummate mother and homemaker, who took great pride in her fa
family. She was a good lady who had a good life and will be in our hearts fo
forever.

The family wishes to thank Stoneybrook Memory Care, First Choice Hospice, 
Carolyn Bahn, Jean New, and Evangeline Worthy for their excellent care and love.
