Jerry Wayne Hendrixson and Bro. Eddie Riley officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery west of Columbia. Visitation will be on Thursday September 28, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. James Andrew Strange was born on August 26, 1939 at Columbia, LA to the union of his parents Andrew and Veteree Strange and he passed from this life on Tuesday September 26, 2017 at the Winnfield Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Winnfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his first wife June Calhoun Strange; his brothers : Robert and Melvin Strange; his sisters: Lorene Hatten and Joyce Stevens and his step-daughter: Bessie Strange. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge # 164 with a fifty year pin of service.Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Herman Patrick Strange and Daniel Emery Strange and his step sons: Preston Strange, A.B. Strange and Andrew Strange; his step daughter: Marion Kay Knowles; grandchildren: Hailey Strange, Austin Strange, Kristen Strange,; step-grandchildren: Angie Kelly, Matthew Strange, Melissa Amos, Shelby and Sidney Rae Strange, Bobby Feltner, Mandy Feltner Strange, and Andrew "Teddy" Strange; his great-grandchildren: Tristen, Gavin, Ethan, Micah,Sarah Grace, Samuel , Tinsely and Analise Rose. Serving as pallbearers will be Teddy Strange, Michael Strange, Tristen Frederick, Chris Kelley, Chuckie Cornwell and Carl Cornwell. Ronnie Bigger will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
