DENNIS GREGORY STRICKLAND

Funeral Services for Dennis Gregory Strickland, 54, of West Monroe, LA will be 
held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 19, 2012, in the chapel of Mulhearn 
Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Stuart Sherman and Rev. Bo Horne 
officiating. Interment will be held in the Old Sardis Cemetery.

Dennis Gregory Strickland was born July 26, 1958 and died September 16, 2012 
after a lengthy illness. For 16 years Dennis was service advisor at Montgomery 
Wards in Monroe. Before that he worked at Howard Bros. on Louisville for 8 
years as manager of the Sporting Goods Department. Dennis loved to go to 
Branson Missouri; He could often be found riding his tractor or lawn mower. 
Dennis loved his family and family gatherings, and most of all he loved his 
wife and his dogs.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Joyce Dumas 
Strickland; brother- in -laws Marvin Smith and Dale Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Garrett Strickland; sister, Dianne Smith; 
brothers, Gary Strickland and wife Donna, George Strickland and wife Barbie; 
nieces, Kim Tharp and husband Ricky, Michelle Rogers and husband Blake; 
nephews, Ricky Smith, Riley Strickland and wife Jennifer, John Wesley 
Strickland, Casey Cartright; great nieces Tiffany Smith, Anna Tharp, Emily 
Strickland and Emma Strickland; Great nephews, Ricky Smith Jr., Alan Tharp, 
Dylan Rogers, Colin Rogers, Logan Perritt; mother in law and father in law, 
Metalene and Bill Garrett; brother in law, Richard Garrett and wife Deborah; 
sister in law, Carmel Strickland; and his two beloved Pomeranians, Ben and 
Buffy.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Smith, John Wesley Strickland, Alan Tharp, Ricky 
Tharp, Blake Rogers and Riley Strickland.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2012 
at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
