EARL STURDIVANT Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Funeral Services for Rev. Earl Sturdivant, 86, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Cecil Harrington officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Sturdivant was born on July 4, 1922 and passed away at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, February 25, 2009. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Searchlight Operator. Rev. Sturdivant also served as a Minister for 48 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Adelaide McQuiller Sturdivant; son, Jackie Earl Sturdivant; parents, Thomas A. and Sallie Sturdivant; brothers, Oliver, Ellie, Odie, Aubrey, and Edd Sturdivant; and his sisters, Ivy Hubbert and Grace Roberts. Survivors include his sons, Paul Sturdivant, Ricky Sturdivant and wife Renee all of West Monroe, LA, and Jamie Sturdivant and wife LaVonne of GA.; daughter, Lori Taylor of FL; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.
