Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Gary was born February 15, 1948 in Monroe, LA and passed March 21, 2015 in Monroe. He was a retired machinist, long-time member of the Grace Baptist Church of Monroe who loved the Lord and was a disabled US Army veteran of the Viet Nam war. He was an auxiliary deputy on the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's horse patrol and he loved to hunt and fish. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mickey Swallow. Gary is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rose Mary Ray Swallow; sons, Michael Swallow and wife Trinity, David Swallow and wife Cathy; granddaughter, Marasi White and husband Jon; great-grandson, Bear White; great-granddaughter Magnolia White; sister, Betty Cook; and a number of beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Rose Mary said "he was the love of her life and the sweetest and smartest person she knew."
