JAY SYKES

Jay R. Sykes was born on March 1, 1980 in Singapore and died suddenly in 
Oklahoma City, OK on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

He was a Directional Drilling Engineer with Leam Drilling Systems of 
Oklahoma City, OK.

He was a loving son and father who leaves behind his parents, Billy & Jo 
Sykes of Delhi; 3 children Taylor, Colten and Teagan and his wife Leah all 
of Epps.

He also leaves his sister Patsy Frith and her husband Blain; half sister Pam 
Sykes and two half brothers, Mike and Terry Sykes.

He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts and cousins from Malaysia.

He is preceded in death by a half brother Keith R. Sykes, his paternal 
grandparents, Elbert & Eunice Sykes; two aunts Virginia Sykes and Mary Alice 
Posey; two uncles Sonny and J. C. Sykes; a nephew Dylan Keith Sykes as well 
as his maternal grandparents Jasmin and Marmie Daud; three uncles and one 
aunt.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday, February 27, 2017 at Dunn 
Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Sykes and Bro. Neal Clack officiating.

Visitation will be held at Cox Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5 PM.

Burial will be in the Newton Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josa Thomas, Robby Miller, Kenneth Jones, Marty Croft, 
Blain Frith and William J. Cantrell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brid Hollis, Casey French, Terry Sikes, Chris 
Sikes and Mitch Berry.
