LUTHER STOKES

Funeral services will be at 2p.m Saturday for Luther Stokes, 64, of 206 Magnolia St.
Monroe, in the First Baptist Missionary Church in Monroe with Rev. C.V. Rodgers
officiating.

Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery in Columbia under the direction of Miller
Funeral Home of Monroe.

He died Tuesday at Caldwell Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. 

He was a former saxaphone player for the one time well know Ben Burton Orchestra.
He was a deacon of the Zion Traveler Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Juanita Collins Stokes of Monroe, Step-father
Lonzie May of Meridian, Miss; one sister, Margaret McHuley of Jackson, Miss; and two
uncles

Pallbearers include Willie Jacobs, Willie Isby Jr., Vernon Hall, Bonifa Stanley,
Kevin Smith, Cecil Sharp, Alton Gant, Monroe Wayne III,and Carl Van Sharp
